Germany beat Latvia 3-2 after Thomas Oppenheimer scored the winner on a penalty in the third period, squeezing the puck between the pads of goaltender Kristers Gudlevskis. Germany took the lead with goals from Marcel Noebels and Frank Mauer but Georgijs Pujacs and Mikelis Redlihs helped Latvia come back each time. Norway held off Denmark 4-3 after rallying from an early 2-0 deficit. Morten Poulsen and Frederik Storm had given the Danes the lead with two goals in 20 seconds, before Norway rallied with goals from Jonas Holos, Ken Andre Olimb, Per-Age Skroder and Mats Trygg. Jannik Hansen pulled one back for Denmark. Host Belarus earned its first win of the tournament by beating Kazakhstan 4-1. Kazakstan took the lead through Andrei Gavrilin, but Andrei Stepanov equalized and then set up Nikolai Stasenko for the winner in the second period in front of 15,000 roaring and jumping home fans. Sergei Kostitsy added a short-handed goal in the third and captain Alexei Kalyuzhny scored the fourth into an empty net. Germany has five points in Group B after two matches while Latvia and Belarus have three each and Kazakhstan has one. "I have to be happy with my teams performance," Germany coach Pat Cortina said. "That was a step into the right direction after yesterday." Markus Gander gave Italy its first victory of the tournament by scoring the winner with 58 seconds remaining against France. The Edmonton Oilers have acquired defenceman Mark Fraser in exchange for forward Teemu Hartikainen and Cameron Abney. Authentic Colton Parayko Jersey . In 19 games with the Maple Leafs this season, the 27-year-old Fraser has notched one assist and a minus-8 rating with 33 penalty minutes. He is currently on a one-year deal worth $1.275 million and is eligible for unrestricted free agency at seasons end. "Marks been a real good soldier for us and to be able to move a veteran player to an organization that wants them I think is a great thing," Leafs assistant general manager Claude Loiselle told TSN. "Secondly, cap-wise, were in a situation where we need to create space, because of the guys who are coming off, Bolland particularly, and then Smitty [Trevor Smith]. In the past, previously, we had John-Michael Liles, who gave us $925,000 in cap space when he went down and with Tim Gleason playing up we dont have that luxury so we had to make a move." The deal frees up more than $1 million in salary cap space for the Leafs, according to Capgeek.com. It may be enough to get injured Centre Dave Bolland off the long-term injured reserve once a couple players are assigned to the Marlies. Hartikainen, 23, is currently playing with Ufa in the Kontinental Hockey League where he has scored 13 goals and 14 assists in 43 games. "He wants to play in the NHL," Loiselle said. "Hes probably a third-line player, competes hard, hard on the puck and that our scouts think highly of. He has an out in his contract in the KHL so thats good." The Leafs plan to keep Hartikainen in Russia, while they will likely assign Abney to either the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League or the East Coast Hockey Leagues Orlando Solar Bears. The Finnish forward last played for the Oilers in 2012-13 when he scored one goal and two assists in 23 games. It was the final season of his three-year, entry-level deal with the Oilers. He was originally selected in the sixth round (163rd overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft and has scored six goals and seven assists in 52 career games with the Oilers. Abney - an Oilers 2009 third-rounder - has scored two goals and three assists with the Bakersfield Condors of the ECHL. He has never appeared in an NHL game. The Maple Leafs acquired Fraser in a 2012 trade that saw them send forward Dale Mitchell to the Anaheim Ducks. In 162 career NHL games with the Maple Leafs and New Jersey Devils, he has scored three goals and added 14 assists. Authentic Joe Mullen Jersey . The Raptors general manager has his list of possible draft selections whittled down to a handful ahead of Thursday nights NBA draft in Brooklyn, New York. The Raptors, who have auditioned dozens of players over the past couple of weeks, have the 20th overall pick in the first round, as well as the 37th and 58th picks in the second. Authentic Patrick Maroon Jersey . Matt Carkner got back into the Ottawa lineup, and made his presence felt right away by settling his clubs score in a one-sided fight with Rangers forward Brian Boyle.Gelsenkirchen, Germany - Schalke forward Klaas-Jan Huntelaar will be sidelined for the remainder of 2013 because of a knee injury, Schalke manager Jens Keller said. The 30-year-old Huntelaar has been battling a knee injury recently and had hoped to return to action this week for the Champions League clash with Chelsea on Tuesday. But Huntelaar sustained a big setback this week as he limped out of training and the club has said that surgery is an option. Keller has not yet revealed if the Netherlandds international will undergo an operation, but he has said that Huntelaar will not available for the rest of 2013. Authentic Wayne Gretzky Jersey. . "It doesnt really matter what the decision is on Klaas-Jan Huntelaar," Keller said. "He cant play until Christmas. It doesnt matter if he decides to have an operation. "He might recover without one. Both outcomes are possible. The decision has not been made yet." Huntelaar has tallied two goals in two Bundesliga games this season. Jerseys NFL China Cheap Adidas NHL Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys From China Cheap MLB Jerseys Wholesale China Jerseys NFL Jerseys China Discount Soccer Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys China China NCAA Jerseys Cheap Cheap Nike Dolphins Jerseys Cheap Nike Patriots Jerseys Cheap Nike Jets Jerseys Cheap Nike Bengals Jerseys Cheap Nike Browns Jerseys Cheap Nike Steelers Jerseys Cheap Nike Texans Jerseys Cheap Nike Colts Jerseys Cheap Nike Jaguars Jerseys Cheap Nike Titans Jerseys Cheap Nike Broncos Jerseys ' ' '

The red-hot Montreal Canadiens will visit the Chicago Blackhawks, who are looking to extend their longest winning streak in four months, without some of their key players. Miles Killebrew Jersey . Goalie Carey Price and defencemen Andrei Markov and Alexei Emelin didnt make the trip to Chicago, with head coach Michel Therrien giving them some rest ahead of the playoffs. Catch the game on TSN and TSN Radio 690 as the first of a doubleheader, starting at 7:30pm et/4:30pm pt. With Price at home, Peter Budaj will get the start in net for Montreal with Dustin Tokarski backing him up. The Blackhawks have opened up April with three straight victories, their longest string of consecutive wins since a three-game span from Dec. 8-11. A win tonight would give Chicago its longest winning streak since a six-game run from Nov. 21-30. Despite the recent success, Chicago if four points behind the Colorado Avalanche for second place in the Central Division. The holder of that spot would earn home-ice advantage over the third-place club in the opening round of the playoffs. Both the Blackhawks and Avs have three games remaining, with Colorado idle tonight. Chicago is coming off a 4-2 victory over the Central-leading St. Louis Blues, with Patrick Sharp scoring the go-ahead goal late in the second period and Marcus Kruger following with a goal in the opening minute of the third frame. Jeremy Morin also scored and added an assist for the Blackhawks, while Ben Smith put the puck into the open net and Corey Crawford came up with 21 saves. "Very workman-like three games in a row and we got rewarded each night," said Chicago head coach Joel Quenneville. "It was a good week for us and I liked our response to a real tough week prior." The Blackhawks have won three straight and six of their last seven at home going into tonights regular-season finale at the United Center. Chicagos final two games are on the road in Washington and Nashville. The Canadiens, meanwhile, are looking to hold off the Tampa Bay Lightning for second place in the Atlantic Division. Montreal is two points ahead of the idle Bolts with three games to go for both clubs. The Habs may be hitting their stride at the right time, having won seven of eight and 10 of their previous 12 games. That includes Saturdays 5-3 win over the Detroit Red Wings that saw Montreal rally from blowing a three-goal lead. Captain Brian Gionta, in his 300th career game with the Canadiens, scored his second goal of the game with 6:47 remaining to put his club back in front after it failed to hold a 3-0 edge. Alex Galchenyuk was credited with an insurance tally with 4:20 to play after Tomas Plekanecs shot deflected off him and in. Despite squandering the sizeable lead, Gionta liked how his team reacted. "We let them get back in the game, but we showed a lot of poise sticking with it and not being rattled by their three goals," he said. Max Pacioretty scored his 39th goal of the season and Carey Price posted 34 saves. Montreal will play its final road game of the regular season tonight ahead of home meetings with the New York Islanders and New York Rangers. The club also is slated to have defenseman Josh Gorges back in the lineup for the first time since March 5 as he was sidelined with a hand injury. The Canadiens have won seven of their previous 10 meetings with the Blackhawks, including a 2-1 overtime victory in Montreal on Jan. 11. Chicago has still managed to win three straight and five of the last seven encounters at home. Los Angeles Kings at Calgary Flames The Los Angeles Kings resume their four-game road trip on Wednesday night with a matchup against the Calgary Flames. Catch the game on TSN as the back end of a double header, starting at 10pm et/7pm pt. Already locked into third place in the Pacific Division, the Kings have lost the first two contests of this swing and three of their last four overall on the heels of a six-game winning streak. Los Angeles will visit the divisions second-place team in the opening round of the playoffs, currently the San Jose Sharks. The Sharks trail the Anaheim Ducks by three points for the top spot and the two teams clash on Wednesday night. The Kings, meanwhile, conclude their road trip on Thursday at Edmonton before hosting Anaheim to close the regular season on Saturday. Los Angeles is coming off Saturdays 2-1 setback to the Vancouver Canucks. Slava Voynov had the lone goal and Jonathan Quick yielded two goals on 40 shots, while Marian Gaborik notched an assist for his 699th career point. "We played a hard game," said Kings coach Darryl Sutter. "We played really solid." Defenseman Drew Doughty missed the contest with a bruised left shoulder, snapping his streak of 199 consecutive games played. He returned to practice on Monday, but the Kings are unlikely to rush him back to action given their current place in the standings. The Flames are hoping to head into the offseason on a roll as they have won three straight for the first time since a five-game run from Jan. 22-Feb. 1. They capped a 3-2-0 road trip with Mondays 1-0 victory over the New Jersey Devils. Karri Ramo made 31 saves for his second shutout of the season and Mark Giordano scored the games only goal just 23 seconds into the third period on a power play. The defenseman one-timed the puck from the high slot off a pass from Jiri Hudler. "It was a tough game and they were in our zone for a lot of time," said Ramo. "But we got the one goal and were able to make their life harder." The Flames also are set to host the Winnipeg Jets on Friday before ending the regular season at Vancouver on Sunday. Calgary has lost six of seven and 10 of its last 14 versus the Kings, and Los Angeles has won six in a row in Calgary. That includes two previous trips there this season. DaShawn Hand Jersey . Joel Embiid was nearly unstoppable in the paint in the second half, and Naadir Tharpe seemingly couldnt miss. Ricky Jean Francois Jersey . "Last year we were in a ton of situations, late-game situations we couldnt pull out. Wed kind of fold under the pressure, get frustrated or let a big shot frustrate us," guard DeMar DeRozan said.GREENBURGH, N.Y. - The coaching search is on in New York, and the best possible candidate has already been eliminated. Phil Jackson wont be hiring himself to coach the Knicks. Two days after firing Mike Woodson, Jackson reiterated Wednesday that he wont be returning to the bench, despite the fact that even fiancee Jeanie Buss told him he should. But Jackson, who retired from coaching in 2011 after winning an NBA-record 11 titles, said his body isnt up to doing the job. "Jeanie Buss was here with the Board of Governors last week and stayed through the weekend, and tried to encourage me to coach the team. And if theres anyone that can encourage me to do anything, its Jeanie Buss. But I was able to withstand her arguments the whole time," Jackson said at the Knicks training centre. So the new team president said hes looking for a leader with the personality and charisma to succeed in New York. He hopes to talk with Steve Kerr, the TNT analyst frequently mentioned as the leading candidate, sometime within the next month. "New York, I think, demands a personality, a person that the fans can believe in, a person that has some confidence, has the charismatic appeal, and I think has a forward-looking idea about the game," Jackson said. He believes Kerr, who played for him in Chicago and served as general manager of the Phoenix Suns, could be that person. He discussed Kerrs potential interest in coaching last year when a group was trying to buy the Sacramento Kings and move them to Seattle. Jackson was prepared to run their basketball operations if that happened. He and Kerr spoke again earlier this year about basketball, so Jackson is comfortable they share the same view of how the game should be played. "I know philosophically we have a strong connection. Whether hes able to take a job like this, I dont know," Jackson said. "I will get in a conversation with him later on this month and talk to him about and see where hes at as far as his desire to coach." Jackson saidd he didnt have a timetable beyond wanting a coach in place before the July summer league. Teez Tabor Jersey. He has other candidates in mind, but said: "You dont want to know their names. I dont want you to have their names." Jacksons will always come up because of his coaching legacy. Madison Square Garden Chairman James Dolan first talked to Jackson around the holidays about coaching the team, but Jackson declined before they began discussing a management position. Jackson said Buss, whose family owns the Lakers, encouraged him to reconsider because it was "low risk" for him and a "do-what-you-know-best type of thing." But he said hes already made up his mind. "Right now I know physically what I can do," Jackson said. "Thats something that I dont think physically I can do." Jackson hopes Carmelo Anthony wont change his mind, either. Anthony plans to become a free agent this summer and has said he would take less than a maximum salary if it helped build a winning team. Jackson, noting that Tim Duncan and the Miami Heats Big Three had sacrificed salary in the past, said he would talk to Anthony about the benefits of doing the same. "Thats the beginning of team play," Jackson said. "Its really hard to just have one or two top stars, max players, and put together a team with enough talent. Youve got to have people making sacrifices financially, so we hope that Carmelo is true to his word, and we understand what its going to take and well present that to him at that time." The Knicks would have to pay Anthony more than $120 million over five years if he insisted on a max contract. Anthony was one of the only bright spots on a 37-45 team that missed the playoffs. The Knicks would like to keep him. "Im all about moving forward. Just deal with what is and move forward," Jackson said. "If its in the cards, man, are we fortunate. If its not in the cards, man, are we fortunate. Were going forward anyway." Jerseys NFL China Cheap Adidas NHL Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys From China Cheap MLB Jerseys Wholesale China Jerseys NFL Jerseys China Discount Soccer JerseysWholesale Jerseys China China NCAA Jerseys Cheap Cheap Nike Dolphins Jerseys Cheap Nike Patriots Jerseys Cheap Nike Jets Jerseys Cheap Nike Bengals Jerseys Cheap Nike Browns Jerseys Cheap Nike Steelers Jerseys Cheap Nike Texans Jerseys Cheap Nike Colts Jerseys Cheap Nike Jaguars Jerseys Cheap Nike Titans Jerseys Cheap Nike Broncos Jerseys ' ' '

MONTREAL -- Guy Lapointe was gardening in his front yard last week when Montreal Canadiens owner Geoff Molson pulled up to his house for an unannounced visit. Tanzel Smart Jersey . Lapointe didnt know what was in store for him. As it turned out, the former Canadiens defenceman was about to receive an unexpected honour. From Lapointes kitchen in Saint-Lazare, Que., Molson announced that the Hall-of-Famer will become the 18th player in Canadiens history to have his jersey retired by the team. The retirement ceremony will occur during the course of this coming National Hockey League season. "Its extraordinary," Lapointe said Thursday at the Canadiens Hall of Fame, located at the Bell Centre. "With the people Ill be next to -- Jean Beliveau, Henri Richard, Guy Lafleur, Larry Robinson, Serge Savard -- I just cant stop thinking about it. I was happy with just looking up at those jerseys. I never thought, in all sincerity, that my number would be retired. It never crossed my mind." On Thursday, the Canadiens organization made official the decision to retire Lapointes No. 5, the first jersey to be honoured since 2009 when Elmer Lach and Emile (Butch) Bouchard received whats considered one of the most prestigious honours in sports. Lapointe, 66, will finally be reunited with his Big Three teammates -- Savard and Robinson -- in the Bell Centre rafters. Savards No. 18 was retired in 2006, and Robinsons No. 19 joined the following year. Known as much for their staunch defending and offensive prowess, the Big Three were instrumental in Montreals six Stanley Cup victories in the 1970s. And the three defencemen were on hand at the Bell Centre on Thursday to celebrate Lapointes big day. "Im happy to see you both here," the Montreal native Lapointe told his former teammates before pointing to the rafters. "But Ill be even happier to see you up there when my jersey is going to be retired." Between 1968 and 1984, Lapointe played 16 seasons in the NHL -- 12 of them with the Canadiens before brief stints with the St. Louis Blues and Boston Bruins. Always a threat on the power play, Lapointe was known for his explosive speed, his inspired bouts of offence, and his rocket of a slapshot. He recorded 622 points in 894 career games, and ranks second in goals by a Canadiens defenceman with 166. Nicknamed Pointu, Lapointe had three consecutive 20-goal seasons, and still holds the Canadiens record for most goals in a year by a defenceman with 28. In his first complete season with the Habs in 1970-71, Lapointes 15 goals set a franchise record for a rookie defenceman. The record still stands today. "A lot of minutes in a lot of situations -- thats the way he was," said Robinson of Lapointe, whom he compared to Montreals P.K. Subban. "Guy could hold his own against anybody. He could play in all situations, play a lot of minutes. Thats the reason hes in the Hall of Fame. "Its very fitting to have his sweater up there. Im glad I got mine up there first -- I finally beat him at something." Lapointe was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1993, two years before Robinson. He won six Stanley Cups -- all with the Canadiens -- including four consecutive championships between 1976 and 1979. "I grew up with this excellent organization," said Lapointe, who also pointed to the 1972 Summit Series in Moscow and 1976 Canada Cup -- both memorable victories for Canada -- as exceptional moments in his career. "The Canadiens helped me become a better hockey player and a better person. The team allowed me to reach goals I didnt even think were possible. "Winning was always our goal. That paid dividends throughout my career. I was a lucky person to make the team. I owe a lot to the Montreal Canadiens. Theyve been very good to me." Off the ice, Lapointe was known as a prankster, notorious for shaking hands with former Prime Minister Pierre Elliot Trudeau with a palm covered in Vaseline. After Lach and Bouchard had their jerseys retired in 2009 -- the ninth and 10th such commemorative event in the five years leading up to the Canadiens centennial anniversary -- the teams organization put the process on hold. Fans clamoured for Lapointe to join the Canadiens legends in the rafters, including the defencemans daughter Stephanie, who started a petition last year to have her fathers jersey retired. "Dreams really do come true!" Stephanie Lapointe tweeted on Wednesday when the news was announced. "Never give up! I am beyond proud of my dad! Finally he is being awarded this honour!" Molson says the Canadiens organizations focus over the last five years has been rebuilding the team on the ice. On Thursday, he said the time was finally right to give Lapointe his long-awaited recompense. "Its a name that kept resurfacing when we bought the team in 2009," said Molson of the final Big Three defenceman. "We were in the process of retiring a lot of jerseys at that time. "I feel good about the organization (now). I feel good about the development of our players, the general manager, and our support staff. Were well on our way to having a winning organization year after year. The fans have had a break from the centennial celebrations. And its a nice surprise for Lapointe." Notes: Lapointe is currently the Minnesota Wilds amateur scouting co-ordinator. a Robinson flew up from San Jose, Calif., on two days notice for the event. a Howie Morenzs No. 7 was the first jersey retired by the Canadiens, in 1937. a Lapointes is the second No. 5 to be retired by the Canadiens. He joins Bernie (Boom Boom) Geoffrion, whose jersey was raised to the rafters in 2006. Stitched Los Angeles Rams Jerseys . John Albert Elway, 24, was booked into jail early Saturday morning after an incident near a college campus in downtown Denver, according to jail records. Jack Youngblood Jersey . Today, well look at five frontcourt players today, here from the Bay Area. 1. AMIR JOHNSON (Raptors): I cant figure out what the issue or problem is, but based upon what Im seeing, hes not right.ALLEN PARK, Mich. -- From his catchy nickname to his sturdy performance on the field, Calvin Johnson often seems indestructible. So it was a bit startling when the star wide receiver was limited by injuries toward the end of last season, finally sitting out the finale after his Detroit Lions were eliminated from playoff contention. Johnson had surgery in the off-season on a knee and a finger, both of which caused problems for him in 2013. He still put up terrific numbers for the Lions, but he was held under 100 yards in the last three games he played and couldnt prevent the collapse that kept Detroit out of the post-season. On Tuesday, "Megatron" was out on the practice field, preparing for what he hopes will be a healthier, more successful season. "It feels great to be out here playing with the guys," Johnson said. "I missed a lot of practice time last year before games. You definitely feel like you need that practice time before a game, just to get on one accord with your quarterback." Johnson caught 84 passes for 1,492 yards last season -- great stats for almost any player, but his worst output in both categories since 2010. It was never entirely clear how much Johnsons knee was bothering him, but then-coach Jim Schwartz conceded in late December that the star receiver was nowhere near 100 per cent. "It was bad enough where I had to get it drained every week," Johnson said. "The finger, it was stuck at 90 degrees. Its good to have those things freed up." The Lions fired Schwartz and replaced him with Jim Caldwell in the off-season, meaning Detroit is implementing a new offence. Quarterback Matthew Stafford will be under pressure to limit the mistakkes that plagued him last year -- and he should have an easier time if Johnson is back at full strength. John Johnson Jersey. Although Johnson missed only two games last season, he wasnt able to practice all that regularly. That time is valuable even for a veteran who will turn 29 in September. "You kind of lose your wind a little bit. You know the plays, but I feel that you have to go out there and practice to be able to play at your best," Johnson said. "Im a firm believer in that. I had experience in the offence, therefore I was able to go out there and still play, but Im a firm believer that being out there during the week definitely improves your performance on Sunday." With Nate Burleson no longer on the Lions, Johnson is now the elder statesmen of Detroit wide receivers, and hes always led by example. Its easier to do that, of course, when hes healthy enough to practice. "Its nice to have him back and working at full strength. Im so happy for him," centre Dominic Raiola said. "The guys so tough. Its hard to get him out of there. Hell play through anything. For him to be healthy right now and being out there with the team, thats big time." NOTES: Caldwell said injured CB Chris Houston has been excused from practice. Rookie WR T.J. Jones, the teams sixth-round draft pick, was also excused Tuesday. ... Caldwell joked a bit about his reputation for remaining even-keeled. "Theres no need for a whole lot of cussing, screaming, yelling and all that kind of stuff," Caldwell said. "Its a mini quiz out here. I never had any of my professors yelling in my ear when I was sitting at the desk filling out those multiple-choice questions." Jerseys NFL China Cheap Adidas NHL Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys From China Cheap MLB Jerseys Wholesale China Jerseys NFL Jerseys China Discount Soccer Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys China China NCAA Jerseys Cheap Cheap Nike Dolphins Jerseys Cheap Nike Patriots Jerseys Cheap Nike Jets Jerseys Cheap Nike Bengals Jerseys Cheap Nike Browns Jerseys Cheap Nike Steelers Jerseys Cheap Nike Texans Jerseys Cheap Nike Colts JerseysCheap Nike Jaguars Jerseys Cheap Nike Titans Jerseys Cheap Nike Broncos Jerseys ' ' '

LA ROCHE-SUR-YON, France -- Richard Gasquet and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga both won in straight sets to give France a commanding 2-0 lead against Australia in their first-round Davis Cup tie on Friday. Chad Hansen Jersey . The ninth-ranked Gasquet had little trouble beating teenager Nick Kyrgios 7-6 (3), 6-2, 6-2, and the 10th-ranked Tsonga followed up just as emphatically to dispatch Lleyton Hewitt 6-3, 6-2, 7-6 (2) and improve to 4-0 in head-to-heads against the former two-time Grand Slam champion. "They were two very good matches," France captain Arnaud Clement said. "They did what they had to do and played the right way." Gael Monfils is scheduled to play alongside doubles specialist Julien Benneteau against Hewitt and Chris Guccione in Saturdays doubles, where a win will seal Frances place in the quarterfinals against Spain or Germany in April. But Clement may change his players around. "Everythings possible for tomorrow," he said. "I have a little idea." Australia captain Pat Rafter said France "were too good" and that "Jo played very well." Tsonga saved a break-point in his opening service game, before breaking Hewitt in the sixth game with a backhand winner. Tsonga took both of his break-point chances in a tight second set, and both players saved two break-points each in the third. "He was fighting right until the end, even though I dominated the first two sets," Tsonga said. "Im happy to have played well and to give France the second point. Ive been playing very well for a while now. I didnt have much luck at the Australian Open because I came up against a very good Roger Federer." Gasquet was a heavy favourite against a player ranked 162nd, but the 18-year-old Kyrgios competed well in a tight first set where neither player offered a chance on their serve. "Hes a good player with a big serve and a big forehand," Gasquet said. "He has a lot of determination and hes very young, too, so I wasnt very at ease in the first set. I could have lost that tie-breaker and you never know what can happen after that." He broke Kyrgios serve twice in the second and third sets and clinched victory on his third match point when Kyrgios backhand down the line landed just wide. "The first set was really important for me and then I felt better and then my backhand started to work better," Gasquet said. "Its my best shot so if I want to win games it has to function properly." It is the first meeting between the nations since the 2001 Davis Cup final in Melbourne, which France won for its ninth and last title. Australia has an impressive 28 titles but none since 2003. Jonathan Jones Jersey . -- Terry Francona likened the atmosphere at Kauffman Stadium on Tuesday to a playoff game in October. Authentic Patriots Jerseys For Sale . Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist stood tall with 41 saves between the pipes, but it was defenceman Ryan McDonagh who got the first star of the game as he had a goal and an assist and now has two goals and four assists for six points in two games. The Toronto Maple Leafs have teams interested in defenceman Cody Franson but would prefer to re-sign him. According to TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger, the Maple Leafs have trade offers on the table for the 26-year-old, but none have been deemed acceptable by the team. Franson tallied five goals and added 28 assists with a minus-20 rating over 79 games with the Maple Leafss in 2013-2014 season. Jeremy Hill Jersey. He is coming off a one-year contract that paid him $2 million. The Nashville Predators traded Franson to Toronto in July 2011. Over 322 career games with the Predators and Maple Leafs, Franson has 28 goals and 105 assists for 133 points. MONTREAL — Five things to watch as Canada faces its toughest test at the world junior hockey championship with a game against the United States on Wednesday:Eichel-McDavid: Its the matchup everyone has been anticipating with relish. Cheap Adidas Chicago Blackhawks Jerseys . Canadas Connor McDavid of the Ontario Hockey Leagues Erie Otters and Boston Universitys Jack Eichel — likely the top two picks in next years NHL entry draft — will finally meet on the ice.On the line: With the Americans just one point behind Canada, the winner of Wednesdays contest will take top spot in Group A. If the Canadians finish first, they will play Denmark, the Czech Republic or Switzerland in the quarter-finals. That game will be held in Toronto.Goaltending controversy?: Canadas Eric Comrie is getting the start between the pipes over Zach Fucale. Comrie made 17 saves for the shutout in Canadas 4-0 win over Germany. Fucale, meanwhile, has stopped a total 39 of 40 shots in his two victories. Canadian head coach Benoit Groulx said Comrie deserved another start.Continuing the tradition: The Canadian juniors have played every New Years Eve since 2006. When Canada and the United Sates are in the same group — as they are this year — the two teams always face off on Dec. 31. Thats happened five times in the last seven years (including this year), with Canada winning every contest.Teenage sensation: Besides having to shut down Eichel, Canadian defencemen will also have to keep a close eye on Auston Matthews, a 17-year-old from Scottsdale, Ariz. Matthews, who will be eligible for the draft in 2016, has a goal and an assist for the United States in the tournament. The Americans youngest player is a towering figure — hes six foot and 198 pounds — who can pester the Canadians at both ends of the rink. Authentic Jan Rutta Jersey . -- The Chicago Bears have agreed to terms with safety Brock Vereen and QB David Fales on four-year contracts. Authentic Steve Larmer Jersey . The Brazilian-born strikers brace drew him level with Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo as the leagues leading scorers with 17 goals apiece through 16 rounds. "The important thing is to help the team win, not the goals," Diego Costa said. After a first half dominated by defence, Atletico pressed Valencia into its area and Diego Costa did the rest. The Montreal Canadiens host a surging New York Islanders team that has been busy making statements lately tonight. Montreal (27-13-3) is in a 1-2-1 stretch after winning nine of 10 and is coming off Thursdays 4-1 loss at Ottawa. Max Pacioretty was again a bright spot, scoring a goal in a sixth straight game with seven total in that span. Hes bidding to become the first Canadien with goals in seven consecutive contests since Denis Savards nine-game run from Feb. 7-March 1, 1991. Pacioretty was held without a point in last months win over the Islanders, but has eight goals and three assists in his past 12 matchups. Montreal coach Michel Therrien will want to see a more complete effort from his team after seven forwards failed to even register a shot Thursday. We need contributions from more than one line, Therrien said. Right now, we only have contributions from one line and thats not good enough. After Pacioretty, Montreals most effective player lately has been goaltender Carey Price, who has a 1.67 goals-against average in his last 12 starts. However, Price did not face the Senators and could sit out again with an upper-body injury. Joey MacDonald was called up from Hamilton of the AHL on Friday, likely to back up Dustin Tokarski. Former Canadien Jaroslav Halak stopped 21 shots against the Penguins and tied Anaheims Frederik Andersen for second in the league with 24 wins. Chad Johnson, though, could get the start in the second half of this back-to-back. The Canadiens have won four of five against the Islanders and are 8-1-4 in the last 13 meetings at the Bell Centre. Just reaching the playoffs wouldve been a good way tto send out Nassau Coliseum in the Islanders last season there before moving to Brooklyn, but the team seems intent on doing much more. Authentic Patrick Kane Jersey. With the midpoint of the season having just passed, the Islanders (30-13-1) find themselves in very unfamiliar territory. They lead the East by one point over Tampa Bay and their 30 wins are tied for the most in the NHL. Were in first place now, but that can change real quick, captain John Tavares said. All these wins are big wins, but youve got to go out there and continue that. After road victories over New Jersey and Columbus on back-to-back nights, the Islanders headed to Madison Square Garden on Tuesday to face a Rangers team that had won 13 of 14. All the Islanders did in that game was post a 3-0 shutout and register 44 shots against a club that hadnt allowed more than 38 all season. Their latest victory was just as impressive. Entering the third period down one against Pittsburgh on Friday, the Islanders scored four goals - three from Kyle Okposo after he tallied in the first - and rallied for a 6-3 victory. Tavares had three assists to help New York open a three-point lead over the Penguins atop the Metropolitan Division. To score four is pretty special, said Okposo. The atmosphere - it was awesome out there. I havent really heard it that loud since we played these guys in the (2013) playoffs. The Islanders outshot an opponent for the 15th consecutive contest and lowered their league-best total to 26.8 shots allowed per game. Theyll now try to improve to 6-1-0 on the second game of back-to-backs and avenge a 3-1 home loss to the Canadiens on Dec. 23. Jerseys NFL China Cheap Adidas NHL JerseysWholesale Jerseys From China Cheap MLB Jerseys Wholesale China Jerseys NFL Jerseys China Discount Soccer Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys China China NCAA Jerseys Cheap Cheap Nike Dolphins Jerseys Cheap Nike Patriots Jerseys Cheap Nike Jets Jerseys Cheap Nike Bengals Jerseys Cheap Nike Browns Jerseys Cheap Nike Steelers Jerseys Cheap Nike Texans JerseysCheap Nike Colts Jerseys Cheap Nike Jaguars Jerseys Cheap Nike Titans Jerseys Cheap Nike Broncos Jerseys ' ' '

Marcus Stroman faces Oakland for the first time as he gets the call for a Toronto team that dropped a 4-1 decision to Sonny Gray and the Athletics in the first game of a 10-game west coast trip. Harrison Phillips Jersey . A first-round pick in 2012, Stroman pitched a one-run, eight-inning gem to beat the New York Yankees on June 23 and was then solid in a no-decision versus the Chicago White Sox on Saturday. Stroman allowed two runs on just two hits and a pair of walks over 6 2/3 innings, fanning six. The 23-year-old was pulled in the seventh frame after giving up a double and a walk, but reliever Dustin McGowan served up a three-run homer as the White Sox jumped in front. "If you could do things over, you leave [Stroman] in," Jays manager John Gibbons admitted. "But my thinking was, he pitched his butt off, it was kind of uncharted territory, I dont want him to lose the game right there. Thats the way it goes. But you always look back on things like that. I had a plan and it just didnt work." Stroman, a right-hander, is 4-2 with a 4.01 ERA in 11 total appearances on the year. Oakland hurler Tommy Milone will try to stretch his unbeaten streak to 11 starts in a row on Friday afternoon when the Athletics play the second contest of a four-game set with the Toronto Blue Jays. Milone is 6-0 with a 2.87 earned run average since his last loss on May 3 and the As are 8-2 over his unbeaten streak. The left-hander lost his first three decisions of the campaign, but now sits at 6-3 on the year with a 3.79 earned run average. Milone has won three of his past four starts, giving up three runs -- two earned -- on four hits and two walks over seven frames of a victory over Miami on Sunday. The 27-year-old is 3-0 with a 3.12 ERA in seven outings at home this year, but has lost both of his previous career meetings with the Blue Jays while yielding 11 earned runs over 13 innings. The Blue Jays fell into a tie for first place in the AL East with Baltimore after losing last nights opener 4-1. It marked Torontos fourth setback in six games and came despite R.A. Dickey giving up four runs -- two earned -- over a complete-game setback. He was outdueled by Oaklands Sonny Gray, who yielded a run over seven innings. Gray struck out five and scattered four hits and three walks to help the As snap a three-game slide. "His curveball was disgusting tonight," said catcher Stephen Vogt on Oaklands website. "It was back to the Sonny Gray that Ive known for the last year and a half. Hes got one of the best curveballs in baseball, and he had it tonight." Toronto swept a three-game series at home from May 23-25 and won two of three in Oakland a season ago. Adolphus Washington Jersey .J. Hardy finally got in on the fun Saturday, against a likely opponent. Julian Stanford Jersey . Three days after falling to Hamilton, Abbotsford scored three goals in 53 seconds en route to a convincing 5-1 win over the Bulldogs Saturday in American Hockey League play.CALGARY -- Dane Dobbie had three goals and two assists as the Calgary Roughnecks edged the visiting Rochester Knighthawks 11-10 on Saturday in National Lacrosse League action. Jeff Shattler and Curtis Dickson both scored twice for the Roughnecks (5-3), Darryl Veltman had a goal and three assists while Garrett McIntosh, Curtis Manning and Karsen Leung added a goal apiece. Coody Jamieson scored twice and added five assists for the Knighthawks (5-3), Stephen Keogh had three goals and two assists and Joe Walters and Johnny Powless each had a pair of goals. Conor McDermott Jersey. (SportsNetwork. Troy Apke Jersey .com) - The St. Louis Rams head to San Francisco this Sunday looking to recover from a blowout loss that kicked off a three-game road trip. The 49ers have had some extra time to analyze their own disappointing loss and will try to get on track out of their bye week against the Rams in a matchup at Levis Stadium. San Francisco has been out of action since a 42-17 loss to the Broncos on Oct. 19, a Sunday night match in Denver that saw Peyton Manning set the all-time record for touchdown passes. Manning broke Brett Favres former mark of 508 by firing touchdown passes on three of his first four drives. The Niners were outgained by the Broncos 419-310 and Colin Kaepernick was sacked six times while completing 24-of-39 pass attempts for 263 yards. He threw a touchdown pass to Stevie Johnson, who ended with 79 yards receiving on five catches, but was also picked off once. In all phases the Broncos were on their game, especially Peyton, said Niners head coach Jim Harbaugh. San Francisco, which had won two straight, now comes out of its bye tied with fellow 4-3 Seattle for second place in the NFC West, with both clubs training 6-1 Arizona. St. Louis is bringing up the rear at 2-5 and opened up its three-week span of road contests with a 34-7 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs last Sunday. It marked the Rams fifth loss in its past six road games dating back to last season. St. Louis opened up the scoring with a one-yard touchdown pass by Austin Davis to tight end Lance Kendricks, but it was all Kansas City from there. The Rams couldnt build off last weeks emotional home win over Seattle. Davis went just 15-of-25 passing for 160 yards with a touchdown and an interception, and the Rams rushing unit was limited to just 84 yards. Kansas City totaled seven sacks in the victory. We clearly got out played the second half of this game, in all three phases, Rams coach Jeff Fisher said. We started fast but we didnt finish. The Rams have lost three straight to the 49ers, including a 31-17 setback at home on Oct. 13. Again, St. Louis got off to a fast start, going up 14-0 in the first quarter on Benny Cunninghams short scoring run and Kendricks TD catch. However, the Niners responded with 24 straight points, including a momentum- changing 80-yard touchdown catch by Brandon Lloyd with 14 seconds left in the first half. Kaepernick threw for 343 yards and three touchdown passes, while Anquan Boldin caught seven passes for 94 yards with a score. Davis was sacked five times, with 49ers linebackers Ahmad Brooks and Dan Skuta getting him twice each. WHAT TO WATCH FOR San Francisco is close to getting healthy -- nose tackle Glenn Dorsey, running back Marcus Lattimore and linebacker NaVarro Bowman should all return in the near future -- and the bye week allowed a number of players who missed the Denver game recover. Left guard Mike Iupati (concussion) and cornerback Chris Culliver (hamstring) practiced in full on Monday, while linebacker Patrick Willis (toe) and safety Jimmie Ward (quadriceps) were limited. However, cornerback Chris Cook and starting center Daniel Kilgore were both lost to season-ending injuries suffered versus the Broncos. Cook suffered a torn hamstring, robbing the Niners of some depth in the secondary, while Kilgore sustained a fractured left leg. Rookie Marcus Martin, a third-round pick out of USC, will get the first shot at replacing Kilgore, though he got off to a late start this season due to a left knee injury suffered during the preseason that held him out of practice until earlier this month. I think hes a very bright guy. Hes very mature, Harbaugh said of Martin. Hes champing at the bit to play and hes shown that through the anxiousness to get back on the field and study habits. So, its been good. Im excited for him to compete. How Martin and Iupati play could dictate how much success running back Frank Gore can have against the Rams. Gore has racked up 1,229 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns in 16 games versus the Rams. San Francisco ranks 10th in rushing offense at 125.1 yards per game, while the Rams are giving up 144.7 yards on the ground per game to sit 31st in the league. Kaepernick also has been efficient in this series, posting a 117.6 passer rating over the three-game series winning streak. He has six touchdown passes and zero interceptions over the run. Even with the injuries and suspension to linebacker Aldon Smith, the Niners still boast the leagues second-ranked defense, which is giving up just 306.0 yards per game overall and just 84.9 YPG on the ground. San Francisco padded its sack total versus St. Louis and has 12 on the season, while the Rams have managed just an NFL-low six sacks on the year. However, St. Louis is getting hot up front. Defensive end Robert Quinn has three sacks in his last two games after getting none over his first five games, while rookie defensive tackle Aaron Donald has 11 tackles for a loss. The Rams rank 26th in points per game (19.4) and are 22nd in total offense at 336.4 yards per game, so the recent losses of tackle Jake Long and wide receiver Brian Quick were especially uninvited. Both will miss the rest of the season after getting hurt versus the Chiefs. Long torn the ACL in his knee for the second time in less than a year, while Quick has significant damage to his shoulder according to Fisher. Wide receivers Stedman BGailey and Chris Givens will see a bigger role due to the loss of Quick, who had 25 catches for 375 yards and three touchdowns in seven games this season. Long, a former No. 1 draft pick, had started 22 games for the Rams since they signed him prior to last season. He tore both the anterior and medial collateral ligaments in his right knee in Week 16 last year. With Long out, rookie first-round pick Greg Robinson will move from left guard to the left tackle spot and Mike Person is in line to make his first career start at left guard if Rodger Saffolds shoulder prevents him from playing. Fisher thought Robinson was fine in switching positions versus the Chiefs after Long got hurt. He had some issues, they had outstanding rushers, but he was strong and stout, noted Fisher. Thats what he does. Hell have a week to work on the footwork and things like that this week. He went out there and knew what to do and came out of the stack on a screen and executed a block. You can see his athletic ability when he made the tackle on the interception. At the tackle position, hell be fine. Kendricks, meanwhile, has a TD catch in three straight games and could be the first Ram with a scoring grab over four consecutive games since Torry Holt in 2006. St. Louis made a trade prior to the deadline this week, getting third-year safety Mark Barron from Tampa Bay for two draft picks in 2015. Barron, the seventh overall pick of the 2012 draft, has recorded 49 tackles in seven games this year after totaling 88 each of his first two seasons. The Alabama product has recorded three career interceptions. OVERALL ANALYSIS Consistency has escaped the Niners this season, but not the Rams, who seem to struggle late in games week in and week out. All signs seem to favor San Francisco this weekend. The 49ers are home, fresh off a bye and taking on a Rams team missing several key contributors to injury. Hitting the road doesnt favor St. Louis at all. The 49ers had no issues overcoming a fast Rams start a few weeks ago and should come out of the gate firing this Sunday. Sports Network predicted outcome: 49ers 27, Rams 13 Charley Taylor Jersey . "Im proud, obviously. Its been a long day, but now Im a Crystal Palace player, Im very happy," Bannan said. Kole Calhoun homered and had an RBI single during a seven-run sixth, and the Angels struggling offence rebounded for a 7-2 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies on Tuesday night. David Freese had a two-run double during the lengthy rally, which propelled Los Angeles to just its second win in seven games. Calhoun bookended the rally with two of his three hits for the Angels, who had scored just nine runs in the previous 61 innings for a club that led the majors in scoring at the All-Star break. "Its nice to bust out like that, and it hopefully gets us rolling," said Calhoun, who has four straight multihit games. "This is a talented offence up and down. Its going to turn around." Calhoun sneaked his first homer since July 20 inside the right-field pole leading off the sixth, and Howie Kendrick drove home Albert Pujols with a tying single off Antonio Bastardo (5-6). Marlon Byrd then badly overran pinch-hitter Collin Cowgills fly down the line, allowing it to bounce behind him for a ground-rule double. "I think the wall came into play there," Philadelphia manager Ryne Sandberg said. "He had to go so far and it was sneaking up on him. Its right up there in the corner, not much room. It was a tough spot for him." Chris Iannetta and Calhoun capped the rally with two-out RBI singles. The Angels made it comfortable for C.J. Wilson (9-8), who pitched into the seventh inning of his first victory since June 24, yielding seven hits and two walks. He was winless in his last five starts, with an injury absence in the middle. "Its still not there," Wilson said. "I was just trying to control the rhythm of the game and not overthrow it." Jerome Williams pitched five-hit balll into the sixth inning of his Phillies debut, but the former Angels right-handers bullpen couldnt hold back his old teammates. Jordan Reed Jersey. . Williams was resilient in his first start for his seventh major league team. Philadelphia picked him up off waivers Sunday from Texas. He spent the past three seasons with the Angels, revitalizing his major league career. "I dont think that its like an audition or anything like that," Williams said. "All Im thinking about is going out there and performing, and whatever the team wants me to do, Ill do." Byrd and Ryan Howard drove in early runs for the last-place Phillies, who dropped to 4-9 in interleague play after allowing their worst single inning of the season. The Angels (69-49) bounced back from a week of mostly miserable hitting. After reaching the All-Star break as the majors top-scoring team, they had managed nearly two fewer runs per game since the break, undermining their chances of catching Oakland atop the AL West. RARE TRIP The Phillies visited Anaheim for the first time since 2003, and theyre likely grateful they dont make it to the Big A regularly. Philadelphia has lost eight straight to the Angels over the last 12 seasons, getting outscored 37-14 by a team known as the Anaheim Angels back when the streak started. The skid is the Phillies longest against any opponent. TROUT CAUGHT Not everything went well in the sixth for the Angels. Mike Trout struck out twice, extending his 4-for-25 homestand struggles. He has high-priced company, too: Josh Hamilton is in a 2-for-23 slump on this homestand, while Pujols is 5 for 26. TRAINERS ROOM: Angels: Reliever Mike Morin threw a bullpen session. He could return from the disabled list Saturday. UP NEXT: Phillies: A.J. Burnett (6-12, 4.29) starts the series finale. Angels: Jered Weaver (12-7, 3.68) pitches two days after his daughters birth. Cheap Nike NFL Jerseys Cheap Adidas Hockey JerseysWholesale Nike Baseball Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys From China Wholesale Jerseys China Wholesale NFL Jerseys China Cheap Nike NFL Jerseys Free Shipping Cheap Nike NBA Jerseys Authentic Cheap NHL Jerseys Canada Cheap Nike MLB Jerseys Cheap Soccer Jerseys China NCAA Jerseys Cheap Nike NHL Jerseys China Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys StoreCheap Football Jerseys Store Wholesale Soccer Jerseys Jerseys NCAA China Jerseys NFL Cheap Cheap Nike NBA Jerseys ' ' '

CLEVELAND -- Mark Prices basketball background is loaded with honours and awards. Jayron Kearse Jersey . His head coaching resume is a little thin. That might not matter to the Cavaliers. A four-time All-Star point guard during nine seasons with Cleveland, Price interviewed Tuesday with the Cavs, who fired Mike Brown nearly a month ago and have been on a twisting search for his successor. The quest has brought them to Price, who spent last season as an assistant in Charlotte under Steve Clifford, who believes the 50-year-old is ready to slide into the top seat. "Obviously we dont want to lose him," Clifford said. "He has done a great job here. Hes ready to be a head coach and the fact that they called and got permission to speak with him shows how much they think of him as a coach and it would be great if it worked out. Bad for us, but good for him." Price started Tuesday doing his usual routine, working with Hornets forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist on his jumper -- a continuing work in progress. Afterward, Price left for Cleveland to meet with the Cavs, who have certainly caught the attention of their fans by bringing in Price, one of the most beloved players in franchise history. What Price may lack in head-coaching experience -- hes only coached the Melbourne South Dragons in 2005 and Orlandos summer league team -- he makes up for with his experience as a high-calibre player, his ability to teach and overall hoops knowledge. Theres been a recent trend of NBA teams signing unproven coaches. The hirings of Steve Kerr in Golden State and Derek Fisher in New York, both former point guards without extensive head coaching backgrounds, could prompt the Cavaliers to take a shot with Price. Price is the sixth known candidate to meet with the Cavs. The team intends to bring back Clippers assistant coach Alvin Gentry for a second interview this week. The Cavs have also met with Clippers assistant Tyronn Lue, Bulls assistant Adrian Griffin, former Memphis coach Lionel Hollins and former Clippers and Bulls coach Vinny Del Negro. Cleveland has also contacted Kentucky coach John Calipari, who signed a seven-year, $52 million contract with the school last week. Sami Vatanen scored the decisive goal in the sixth round of the shootout as the Ducks rallied to beat the Winnipeg Jets 5-4 at Honda Center. Rickard Rakell had two goals and two assists for Anaheim, which killed a pair of 5-on-3 power plays before erasing a two-goal deficit in the third period. Frederik Andersen made 28 saves for the Ducks, who improved to 4-2-0 on their eight-game homestand. Mark Scheifele had a goal with one assist and Ondrej Pavelec stopped 39 shots for the Jets, who have lost three of four. Winnipeg, which finished 0-for-6 on the power play, failed to build on its 4-2 at the outset of the third. After killing the penalties, Kyle Palmieri started the rally when he whipped a backhander past Pavelec during an Anaheim power play at 6:25. Former Pro Bowl defender Marcellus Wiley added his name to a lawsuit accusing NFL teams of illegally dispensing powerful narcotics and other drugs to keep players on the field without regard for their long-term health. Rodney Gunter Jersey . "The first thing people ask is, knowing what happened, would you do it again?" said Wiley, currently an ESPN analyst. "No. No I wouldnt." The lawsuit was originally filed May 20 in U.S. District Court in northern California and amended Wednesday to add 250 more players, bringing the total to 750 plaintiffs. Wiley, who played in Buffalo, San Diego, Dallas and Jacksonville from 1997-2006, is the ninth player identified by name, joining former Chicago Bears Jim McMahon, Richard Dent and Keith Van Horne, Jeremy Newberry and others. The lawsuit, which is seeking class certification, covers the years 1968-2008. It contends team physicians and trainers across the NFL routinely -- and often illegally -- provided powerful narcotics and other controlled substances on game days to mask the pain. Among them were the painkillers Percodan, Percocet and Vicodin, anti-inflammatories such as Toradol, and sleep aids such as Ambien. Lead attorney Steven Silverman said some teams filled out prescriptions in players names without their knowledge or consent. He said those drugs were then "handed out like candy at Halloween" and often combined in "cocktails." NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy said the league had no comment. The former players have reported a range of debilitating effects, from chronic muscle and bone ailments to permanent nerve and organ damage to addiction. The players contend those health problems came from drug use but many of the conditions arent tied to the use of painkillers. Six of the plaintiffs in the lawsuit, including McMahon and Van Horne, were also parties to the concussion-related class-action lawsuit filed against the NFL less than a year ago. The NFL agreed to pay $765 million to settle that case -- without acknowledging it concealed the risks of concussions from former players. A federal judge has yet to approve the settlement, expressing concern the amount is too small. Wiley, 39, was not part of the concussion lawsuit, but decided to join former players in this one after suffering partial renal failure in April, despite no history of kidney problems. Wiley said he took "multiple injections" of painkillers over the course of a season to cope with an injury that then-San Diego team physician Dr. David Chao diagnosed as severe groin sprain. After the season, an independent doctor diagnosed a torn abdominal wall that required surgery. "You cant walk into a doctors office and say, "Give me this, give me that, just to get through the day. Somebody would shut the place down," Wiley said in a telephone interview. "But thats what was going on in the NFL. Its easy to get mesmerized. I wont deny that; theres this play through-the-pain, fall-on-the-sword culture, and somebody in line ready to step up and take your place... "And the next question when people hear about this stuff is wheres the personal responsibility? Well, Im not a medical doctor" he added, "but I did take the word of a medical doctor who took an oath to get me through not just one game, or one season, but a lifetime. Meanwhile, hes getting paid by how many bodies he gets out on the field." Chao stepped down as San Diegos team physician last June, after the NFL Players Association called for him to be replaced and filed a complaint. An independent panel cleared Chao. In April, as part of a stipulated settlement, Chao was placed on probation by the Medical Board of California. His license was also revoked, but that action was stayed while he remains on probation. He was accused of committing gross negligence, repeated negligent acts and acts of dishonesty or corruption. Chao was also found liable of malpractice in 2012 in a case involving a regular patient, not a Chargers player, with a judgment of nearly $5.2 million. Records also show he has been publicly reprimanded by the board and pleaded guilty to driving under the influence. The lawsuits main burden is proving cause and effect -- that use of painkillers in the past caused the chronic problems the players face now. The players also would have to show that they are suffering those problems at a greater rate than other people their age, and that its not due to other risk factors such as obesity, smoking and family history. Wholesale Cardinals Jerseys . -- LeGarrette Blount wasnt satisfied with three short touchdown runs, not against a team coming off the second greatest comeback in playoff history. Will Holden Jersey . Chris Heisey followed with a two-run triple and Billy Hamilton added an RBI double, all but sealing Cincinnatis fourth straight victory and seventh in eight games. Brandon Phillips, celebrating his 33rd birthday, hit a go-ahead homer in the ninth for the Reds before pinch-hitter Buster Posey tied it with an RBI double off hard-throwing closer Aroldis Chapman in the bottom half. The Cleveland Browns signed veteran quarterback Rex Grossman on Tuesday. The signing reunites Grossman with Cleveland offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan. The pair worked together for multiple seasons in Washington.
